Found this mushroom a dead deciduous tree.
Found in Trondheim Norway on the 22nd of March. Weather in general has been between -5 and 5 degrees.

Stem length is 2.5c |

I'm fairly new to foraging and have discovered what I've hopefully identified as two examples of young chicken of the woods. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've yet to pick them and have left them in situ on dead Oak trees on the edged of mature, mixed woodland. Besides corectly identifying them, I |

Good morning everyone, I am a forest school leader, whilst reconnecting children with nature, I have developed an interest in wild mushrooms and foraging. I would love to know more. Does anyone know of a club or society in or around Ashford (Kent) that I could join?
Thank you for your help |

Hi,
I find these quite regularly in woods near me - are they one of the trooping funnel types? I used Geoff's book for some idea but couldn't bring any home for closer inspection this time Sorry for poor pictures! |
